Our product's name ZARSA goes back to the Italian roots that gave us the name we use for our sauce. Combining cooking knowledge from both Jeffrey and Diane's families, sharing an Italian heritage, we developed our recipe.
The word ZARSA is Jeffrey's Italian family word for "SAUCE". His Grandmother, (Nanni in Italian), was an exceptional cook. Her love of cooking can be traced back to her family’s roots in San Giovanni in Fiore, a small town located in the southern Italian region of Calabria. Nanni always prepared ZARSA for family gatherings and especially holiday meals.
While it was the meal of choice for special events, it also was just as special for every day dinners as well. Meals are the cornerstone of many Italian family gatherings. The better the ZARSA the better the meal. When the sauce is good - Everything is good. This photo is of Jeffrey (at a very young age) with his Nanni and we wanted to include this page in honor of her.
